Friday Five
Here's today's Friday Five...
1. Are you going to school this year?
Not in any conventional manner. I am a homeschooling mom teaching my two children.
2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
See above, and I graduated from high school in 1993.
3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
At the time, I really liked music (band and chorus), drama, physics, chemistry, French, geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, and English. My study skills sucked, however, so my grades did not reflect my enjoyment in all instances.
4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?
PE. PE, PE, PE. Necessary (I even took a semester of it as an elective when I found I was gaining weight my senior year) but despised. It wasn't the teacher, it was just... everything else about it.
5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
I had a few. There were some I liked a lot (like my French teacher, and the one who taught geometry and higher science classes, and the English/drama teacher) because they were really, really excellent teachers, who got information across in an interesting and enjoyable manner, without trying to be everyone's best friend (or actually, the popular kids' best friend) like some teachers did. Not that they weren't friendly, but that was not the entire focus of their classes.
