rather interesting and totally awesome
(separately)
Here's the 'rather interesting':
(oops, the Ctrl-C didn't take. I just pasted an entire chapter of Villette here. Trying again.)
There we go, that's better. Thanks Kat, who is as always ever so helpful in pointing out interesting Internet things to me. (warning: Turn OFF your speakers for this one. There's a really annoying sound-embedded ad.)
And for the totally awesome, everyone-must-see-this part of today's post:
(Turn your speakers back on.)
Go watch this now. This means you. Especially if you are a girl or a woman or ever looked at a girl or a woman or at a magazine ad or a movie star or any print or video media portrayal of female beauty. Please?

There are 64 of me, married. 88 of me with my maiden name. There are 0 of my husband. Or of my son. Who knew? They seem solid to me. Do T and LT exist?
As for the video, WOW. Disgusting, really.

Mary, no, neither T nor LT exists. I guess that means I don't need to cook them supper, eh?

There are millions of me. However, I am THE ONLY one with my last name - Maiden-Married. Funny because each one on it's own are the sixth and second most common last name EVER.

I try. :-) Sorry I didn't warn you about the sound - I looked at it at work where sound isn't even an option.

I'm surprised that there are 22 other people with my married name! Even more-- 179-- with my maiden name. Only 8 people with Donald's name, though.
Oh, I saw that Dove thing a day or two ago. (Well, I assume this is the same thing, based on the comments.) It's pretty amazing how much she changes, even before they "Photoshop" her into an alien. I have to admit, though, that I wish I could magically elongate my neck like that! (I guess the ads and magazines have brainwashed me.)
