update
thing 1: work is progressing. T is ok. I think he might actually be glad to have something constructive to do, under the circumstances.
thing 2: I recovered most of the pictures, thanks to a sanity-saving program I discovered a couple of years ago (when the Coolpix ate a memory card) called "PC Inspector Smart Recovery". It's amazing what can still be on a memory card when it's empty. Kind of creepy, actually.
thing 3: We have three months to either be out of this house or own it. Which is pretty generous, really. Now we just have to figure out what to do and where to go. Without a substantial income from me, our options in this market are rather limited, even though prices have flattened a little bit in the past year or so. And a substantial income from me is not an option at this point. So. Still looking around and praying, and fortunately the cloud of despair seems to have been exchanged for one of simple uncertainty.
Comments
Things seem to be looking up, slightly. Hopefully Michael's right and this is a blessing in disguise. Will keep praying.

Hey, I was just stopping by to let you know I'm praying for you all, and was so happy to see things are looking up a bit. Your last sentence was particularly profound....
We have our appt scheduled for next Tuesday to find out if it's a three-syllable, seven-letter, biblical BOY's name we need, or a girl's. :) The book you loaned me is still very much appreciated.
My comments are always crazy-long - I should just write an email!! But I love you guys and will keep praying. Anxious to see how God moves...!

Everything is a blessing. It is so hard to see that sometimes but just know in your heart that it's all good because it is all God!
Did that sound cheesy?

So glad to hear that things have improved somewhat! I'll keep you in my prayers.
(And yes, it is *so* creepy that you can delete something and it still be there, in this digital age! I've heard or read somewhere that it's very difficult to truly, forever delete email, for instance.)
