day 47 - imperial barbecue
The Star Wars fans in our household are not terribly fond of Ewoks or the Gungans (I can see their point, especially regarding the latter). Neither, obviously, are the storm troopers, the Emperor, or Darth Vader, as is evidenced in the Lego art installation created by my eleven-year-old son and preserved for posterity in this photo.
(You do get that those are flames under there, right?)

A very imaginative Lego display!
I know what Ewoks are (actually, my sister and I used to pretend we were Ewoks living outdoors in a "shelter"-- an umbrella propped up on one side), but I don't recall the Gungans. I'll have to look that up...

We just spent the day at Legoland - the original one. Your 11-year-old may not be thrilled to hear that it took my 40-year-old Legomaniac husband this long to get there.
