the growing-up continues

We had some shopping to do in the valley today, and while we were in the mall, C did something else she's always wanted to do:

Oooh, lucky her! We weren't allowed to get our ears pierced until we were 10! :)

Wow-- another rite of passage. I bet she's feeling very grown up, now. (For a few days, at least. (g))

I had mine pierced sometime around this age, too, I think, but I let them grow back in (I think one ear had become infected, so we took the studs out early) and didn't have them re-pierced until a few years later.

Oh, MY gosh! Her hair suits her SO well; she looks absolutely precious!! Tell her we said congrats on the new earrings and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I canNOT believe she is eight!
