WOOOOOT!!

OFFER ACCEPTED!!

finally! [happy dance]

wait a minute.

[stifled scream]

Must remind myself that what seems like a fat mortgage payment right now will seem really slim compared to rents in thirty years. Right?

yay!

Ohmygosh, congratulations!!! Finally!! Soooooooo happy for you guys!! And yeah, what happens now?

Congratulations! It's so exciting and scary to be a new homeowner. Let me give you one little piece of advice (based on my own mistake)...NEVER sit down and calculate your monthly mortgage times the number of payments you'll be making, to find out what you're REALLY paying for you house. It will take weeks to get over the shock!
Again, congratulations to you and your family. I look forward to many entries about your new adventure.

Congratulations!!

Now you get all the excitement and fun of arranging things just the way you want them (after the not-so-fun actual moving of boxes and furniture)! And there's also the pleasure of knowing that you can do whatever you like to the place-- and that any improvements you make are *yours*.

Looking forward to seeing/reading more! :o)

Congratulations!

Please, please, PLEASE come and post on the Oct99 site because everyone there is desperate to know details!

Posted by: Carol at October 6, 2007 10:25 AM

oh, and NOW can we see some pictures???

Posted by: Susan, again at October 6, 2007 11:54 AM

Susan: I was just about to post the real estate listing here so you could see pictures. Good thing I had the 'Duh' moment before I gave the entire Internet my new residential address, complete with driving directions.

I actually only have a photo or two of it -- one, of the view, I posted in the 50-days thing in July. We're going by the place tomorrow, though, and I'll be taking plenty of pictures. :)

YAY YAY YAY! Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing more. I'm so excited for you guys.

YAY to you All!!!!

Now you can put holes in the wall and not worry about it! Or paint any color you want!
And plant anything you want anywhere you want and never ever ever have to move again!

Hooray! I can't wait to see pictures! I think the happy dances followed by screams is pretty much typical of homeownership. Welcome!

I think you're right about the payment - especially because T's income is likelier to go up rather than down and one of these days when the kids are older and you're done your degree, you'll be working as a lactation consultant or whatever and will have two incomes.

Yeah, I remember the one with the view and wow - what a view it was! :) Cannot WAIT to see the house too though!! Hope you guys are doing well! TTYS!!
