Why do I even bother....
...when Rachel Lucas and Bill Whittle say everything I think only five million times better? I am feeling more cheerful this morning. Life goes on. Time for school.

I'm tempted to say "neener neener" to Rachel Lucas - not because of the election, but because I did the move to Europe (and then to Asia) *first*. I think she's entirely wrong in her projections about Obama, but from what she says if she's right we'll both be sad and if I'm right we'll both be happy. I like the quote from Bill Whittle, but then he's always struck me as a pretty rational guy. (Long paragraph deleted here on why I stopped reading him. Not important to anyone but me.)
One other thing I noticed today, in reading a comment from someone who thinks that Palin was by far the best of the four candidates rnning for office: what I want and what she wants are pretty much the same thing, for government not to interfere in living our lives the best way we can. We only disagree in how to get there and who's likeliest to do it. That tells me that as both McCain and Obama said yesterday, we have more in common than not, and a whole lot of things to work on that we can all believe in.

Yes, I saw that. It will be interestin to see her take on us when she actually gets here. We aren't as bad as she makes out ... yet. I thought it rather amusing that she is moving to the south coast of England, and she thinks Hadrian's Wall is a day trip. Yeah, you can drive there in a day. But then you might want to spend half and hour looking around, and also drive back. NOT a day trip!
